There are 195 countries in the world, but how many can one person realistically visit in just 7 days? In this epic travel challenge, Ryan sets out on a race against the clock to visit as many countries as possible — while letting complete strangers decide where he travels next!
The adventure begins in Vatican City, the smallest country in the world, before continuing into Italy and across Europe. But there’s a twist: Ryan cannot simply choose his next destination. In every country, he must find a stranger and ask them to choose the next country he will visit.
With only one veto available for the entire challenge, every decision matters. A stranger could send him somewhere nearby… or halfway around the world!
✈️ THE 7-DAY TRAVEL CHALLENGE
Starting from Vatican City, Ryan quickly unlocks Italy before heading to England after strangers choose his next destination. From exploring London and seeing Big Ben to searching for classic British food, the journey is already turning into an unforgettable adventure.
But transportation becomes one of the biggest challenges. Flights, trains, cars, and ferries all become part of the strategy as Ryan tries to save every possible minute.
The challenge then takes him to the Netherlands, where he explores Amsterdam, tries stroopwafels and bitterballen, and prepares for the next country chosen by a stranger.
From there, the adventure continues to Austria, where Ryan discovers the idea of a European “quad” — an area where several countries are extremely close together. This creates a huge opportunity to visit multiple countries in a short amount of time.
The journey continues through Germany, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland, with Ryan racing against the clock and trying to close the gap on Maurice, who previously set an incredible record by biking through 18 countries in 7 days.
🇨🇭 Switzerland brings some of the most memorable moments of the journey, including Swiss cheese, chocolate, beautiful scenery, and an inside look at a small chocolate business.
But the challenge doesn’t stop there.
Ryan then heads north to Norway, explores Oslo, meets locals, and searches for the next country. The journey continues to Denmark, where he explores Copenhagen, visits Tivoli, discovers Denmark’s connection to LEGO, and prepares for another country selection.
Eventually, strangers choose Sweden, sending Ryan toward Malmö by train. The route even includes the famous connection between Denmark and Sweden, making the journey itself part of the adventure.
⏱️ THE CLOCK NEVER STOPS
Every hour matters.
Missed trains, canceled transportation, late-night arrivals, long ferry rides, unexpected delays, and finding strangers willing to participate all make this challenge much harder than it looks.
Ryan has to constantly make decisions:
• Which country should he visit next?
• Should he take a plane, train, ferry, or car?
• How much time should he spend exploring each country?
• Can he find a stranger quickly enough?
• Will the next country be nearby or incredibly far away?
• Can he catch Maurice before the 7 days are over?
And because strangers control the destination, Ryan never knows what is coming next.
